How to declare?

Which services are eligible for tax credits?

You probably already know this, but the services offered by Merci Sixtine fall into the category of Personal Services: they correspond to trades related to assisting people in their daily tasks (this is the case of cleaning, cooking , shopping and helping out).

This sector entitles all persons declaring their income in France to a tax credit of 50% of the amount of the service ordered, whether taxable or not!

For any service eligible for the tax credit, you will receive, at the beginning of the following year, a tax certificate corresponding to the amount of the service(s) performed. You must then indicate this amount on your income tax return. The tax certificate is your proof.

You will find below a small instruction manual explaining, step by step, the procedure to follow to include your tax credit in your income tax return.

Guide to reporting tax reductions/credits

Online tax return

1. Connect to your personal space on impots.gouv.fr
2. During your online declaration in the "expenses" section, select "tax reductions and credits"
3. In the section “personal services: home employment”, report the amount of the sums paid in 2020, indicated on your receipts

Paper tax return

  • When you declare your taxes, you will find on page 4 the heading 7 "Tax reductions and credits"

  • Report the sum of the amounts corresponding to your personal services for the past year in box DB or DF (depending on your own personal situation).

WARNING :The sum to be indicated in this box corresponds to the difference between the total amount of your expenses (indicated on the tax certificate sent by Merci Sixtine) and the total amount of any aid received for these services (financial aid from the employer or works council, APA paid by the General Council, Paje, etc…). That is to say that you only declare the sums which are really your responsibility.

  • All this information is available on the tax certificate that we send to you at the beginning of each year.

  • If you declare in paper format, you must attach a photocopy of the tax certificate. If you declare on the internet, you must keep the tax certificate for a period of 3 years, in case of control, but it is not worth attaching it to your declaration.

These explanations will allow you to complete your tax return without difficulty.

With Merci Sixtine everything becomes so easy!
